Tooth brushes

Again, there is A LOT of plastic in the word and only A LITTLE of it is recycled. The rest? Burned, buried, or dumped in the sea. A person uses around 300 toothbrushes in their lifetime. That is A LOT of discarded plastic. But there are better options.

There are more and more sustainable options coming around in terms of tooth brushes. Many are made from wood and better yet, there are tooth brushes made from bamboo which grows very quickly.

As a father of size kids bamboo tooth brushes are even more helpful as I can wood burn their initials into the handles to avoid confusion as to what tooth brush belongs to whom. That’s definitely not something that I was able to do with plastic tooth brushes!

As of today, I still haven’t seen the sustainable options on my local grocery stores. Hopefully that will change soon. Contacting my large, local grocery store chains about carrying tooth brushes that are better for the environment is actually on my to-do list. I’ve been buying my bamboo tooth brushes on Amazon.

Please choose better options for your dirty mouth! ;)
